Stage Right! School for the Performing Arts Presents The Addams Family: School Edition

Performances September 26–28, 2025 at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center

GREENSBURG, PA — September 2025 — Stage Right! School for the Performing Arts will present The Addams Family: School Edition at the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center from Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28, 2025.

The production features 54 student performers, ages 6–18, representing more than six school districts across Westmoreland County and beyond, including Norwin, Hempfield, Penn-Trafford, Franklin Regional, Gateway, Burrell, and McKeesport. Two casts will bring Charles Addams’ beloved characters to life in this family-friendly musical comedy.

The Addams Family follows Wednesday Addams as she introduces her “normal” boyfriend to her delightfully macabre family, sparking a night of secrets, surprises, and hilarity. The School Edition, adapted from the original Broadway production, has been edited for student performers while maintaining the show’s signature humor and heart.

The creative team includes:

● Director: Josh Reardon, resident teaching artist at Stage Right! and Seton Hill University graduate

● Music Director: Karen Ricco, Academic Advisor and adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh–Greensburg

● Choreographer: Sage Evans, Seton Hill University graduate

● Student Choreographer: Mia Catone, senior at Hempfield Area High School

● Stage Manager: Alyssa Wano, Stage Right! resident stage manager

Reardon noted, “The magic of this show is watching our students take these beloved characters and make them their own. Their creativity, commitment, and joy in performing remind me why theater education is so powerful.”

Board President Meghan Scalise added, “This production is such a wonderful example of our mission in action—bringing students from across districts and communities together to create something bigger than themselves. The arts truly unite, inspire, and transform lives.”
